In honor of Asian American Heritage Month, we here at OMSA want to make sure that you get the latest news of events being celebrated in Chicago! This month, we also would like to take the opportunity to introduce some notable persons, organizations, and guest bloggers who have contribution in promoting cultural awareness and impact in the Asian American Community.
This week we would like to highlight The National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP) Chicago. On their website, NAAAP Chicago is described as a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. NAAAP encourages the advancement of career and leadership among Asian American professionals in all fields. Through NAAAP, professionals are supported to make connections by networking, "respecting Asian multiculturalism, and supporting diversity and community service". NAAAP's mission is to "cultivate and empower leaders for professional excellence, connect accomplished professionals for mutual success, engage and participate with the community-at-large, and to inspire leaders to make a meaningful difference in government, education, business and society". With over 24 chapters around the North America, membership to NAAAP is growing! Please visit the NAAAP National home page for more information.
To celebrate the beginning of Asian American Heritage Month, NAAAP along with Macy's Chicago Locations will host various events next week and beyond!
